Spreading Holiday Cheer Shopping with Black-Owned Businesses

Spreading Holiday Cheer Shopping with Black-Owned Businesses

You’ve completed your holiday shopping for the children, now who’s next? It’s safe to assume that it’s easier to shop for ourselves than others… right? We know what we like, want, and need. So, what do we buy our loved ones who already have everything they want or those who can afford what they need? Often, it’s truly the thought that you put into your gift that makes the holiday season special. This year let’s continue to be thoughtful while spending our money supporting Black-owned businesses, shall we?

Charismatic Creations: This Black woman-owned brand offers mobile bartending, curated signature cocktails and mocktails, and event staff. Charismatic Creation is the perfect gift that your loved one can use for a birthday experience, celebration, anniversary, or a mom in your life that you know desperately needs a moment away from her children. The company mixes both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, which will meet the needs of whoever receives this amazing experience as a gift this holiday season!

Base Butter: Many have experienced the horrible teenage phase of acne, however; several men and women suffer from adult acne! Gift-giving is not always about the price or level of luxury, but the meaning behind it. Your loved one who has shown their frustration with products that haven’t helped their skin and your girlfriend who has been trying to finalize her skincare routine would greatly appreciate the carefully curated products from Base Butter.  It was created by two Black queens who are “on a quest to redefine the perception of beauty and its impact on our relationship with our skin. We believe that when you put your best face forward it is the one you love and care for despite its imperfections.

Range Beauty: Range Beauty is a brand that has created a lane for “clean beauty for the forgotten shades.” When a woman puts on a full glam, it shouldn’t be a struggle to find shades that match her skin tone, and the health of her skin shouldn’t be compromised once she finds it! They offer diverse shades of makeup that have fewer toxic ingredients than your favorite popular brands. With the unfortunate events of a global pandemic, going out with a beat face is on pause, however; this is only temporary! Gift your loved one with some products from Range Beauty so they are prepared to celebrate once outside is open again!

Mess in a Bottle: This business is far from disarray. It is a Black woman-owned brand that delivers MESSages through their apparel packaged in a reusable bottle! While creative, the company has a powerful mission of giving “a voice to the voiceless, to evoke change, and to create a community of unapologetically authentic humans” through their apparel.  You’ll find the perfect piece for either a loved one who is a fashion junky or a throws on whatever they feel like for the day.

Spice Suite: Perfect for your friend who’s a self-proclaimed foodie, your mom to add to future Sunday dinners or your good girlfriend who’s trying to up the ante in the kitchen for her husband and kids! You can easily shop online, but the full experience happens in-store. Make this gift a creative one by setting a budget and taking your special person to the Spice Suite, letting them experience the beautiful culinary vibes, and choosing their spices!

Play Pits: Don’t just keep it for yourself! Gift Play Pits to someone else! Play Pits was created for children, but quickly became a favorite of the parents as well. With that in mind, the Queen and King adult deodorants were birthed. You can easily add Play Pits to a self-care gift package, or it can stand alone. The scent and overall amazing benefits of using the deodorants speak for themselves.

There are several Black-owned businesses that you can and should support all year round. Our dollars mean a lot to this economy but mean even more to our beautiful Black brothers and sisters. Spread some holiday cheer with some Black-owned products this year!

Here are a few more if you’re looking to support more Black-owned businesses:
