DIY Body Sprays with Essential Oils

We get it. Once you get on that essential oil train your whole world transforms. Certainly your sensory world has elevated its game. If you deeply love essential oils and all the benefits it has for your skin and mind, then you’re probably wondering how to take advantage of those delicious scents and get it all over your body as much as possible. Clearly, we’re total fanatics when it comes to essential oils and we are so not ashamed to announce it to the whole world. So, how do we take our essential oil fragrances to the next level? With a body spray of course!

Let’s have a look at some of our favorite body spray recipes. Because we all know how enjoyable that feeling is when that cool mist hits our skin. Especially with our favorite fragrant blend. We bet your children will love it too!

What You’ll Need to Get Started

8-ounce glass spray bottle

1 tablespoon vegetable glycerin - this acts as an emulsifier, which helps your essential oils mix with the water

1 tablespoon witch hazel

6 ounces of distilled water

Appx. 30 drops of essential oil or blend of your choice

PRO TIP: *** You can also use 1 oz. 190 proof vodka or 91% isopropyl alcohol in place of vegetable glycerin and distilled water. Alcohol extends the shelf life of your body spray which is why many opt for this concoction. You also won't need to shake the mixture before each use.

How to Get Started

Add the ingredients to your glass spray bottle and then shake well. Then shake well before each use. If you want a stronger scent, we recommend adding a few more drops of your favorite essential oil. Sometimes we go up to 38 drops to get a real uplift.
